Teasley wins Norwalk by a bike length!
Jeremy Teasley's 4.04 gives him his first ADRL win and in his home state to boot!
story and photos by Tim Hailey
Jeremy's first ADRL win came in his second race ever on a Pro Extreme Motorcycle, in his home state of Ohio, and against surprise finalist Travis Davis. Travis blew up in the semis and had to get a loaner from Eric McKinney's team for the final, thus making his .042, 4.124, 173.58 combination a remarkable achievement for Travis and his team. Teasley ran .066, 4.040, 176.10. Roger Starrette, get into ADRL Pro Mod now!

Teasley and Travis Davis in Norwalk final!
After running 3.97 in round 2, Ashley Owens blew the tire off and slipped to a 4.12 in the semi, losing to Travis Davis' motor blowing 4.10 in the process. Jeremy Teasley took the tree and ran a career best 4.03 to beat Rockingham winner Billy Vose. Now Davis is frantically looking for a spare to run the final!
Owens laying down 3.98s at Norwalk
Like a bracket bike, Ashley Owens' FBG Suzuki is laying down 3.98s and laying waste to the Norwalk field
After qualifying number 1 with a 3.98, Ashley Owens duplicated the number aboard the Fast By Gast Suzuki to take out Quicktime Racing's Eric Sanzottera in round 1 of Pro Extreme Motorcycle eliminations at the ADRL's Summit Racing Equipment Ohio Drags V at Norwalk, Ohio. Rockingham winner Billy Vose had second best ET of the round with a 4.05 solo pass after Casey Stemper failed to make the call. Eric McKinney was third quickest with an on-a-rail 4.089, also a solo pass after Charlie Prophit no-showed.
Running the Matt Prophit bike, Travis Davis ran 4.10 to beat Keith Dennis. Carlos Wilkerson was slow on the tree but also ran a 4.10 to make up the tenth he left at the line and won by a wheel over Mac McAdams. David Vantine and rookie tuner Joe Taranto continue to make big progress and ran 4.119 to beat Brunson Grothus, who broke around the 1-2 shift. Jeremy Teasley ran 4.129 vs Gast for a 2 bike length win. And for the second week in a row, Arabian points champion Terry Schweigert faced Dave Norris. Dave won by .004 on a holeshot, both bikes angling towards each other and the centerline.
Vose leads first session at Norwalk
Norwalk rains reduced qualifying and Billy Vose (shown in Virginia) rose to the challenge
The combination of rider/tuner Billy Vose and owner/tuner TT Jones continues to bear fruit, rising straight to the top of the rain-shortened qualifying schedule at the ADRL's Summit Racing Equipment Ohio Drags V at Norwalk, Ohio. Vose picked up where he left off in the Rockingham final and ran 4.065 to lead Pro Extreme Motorcycle, the only 4.0 bike in the round.
Ashley Owens could do no better than third on the Fast By Gast Suzuki, running 4.11 after only a 1.087 60 foot time. Crafty Travis Davis squeezed between Owens and Vose with a career best 4.109. Eric McKinney is fourth with a 4.150. and a 1.045 60 foot. Terry Schweigert is fifth with a 4.153 at only 157.30 mph, so something went wrong on the big end with the DTM/Road End Farms Suzuki. Mac McAdams is sixth with a 4.192 on the General Lee. Brunson Grothus is seventh with a 4.221 and Keith "Shine" Dennis makes his first ADRL race with a 4.32. Paul Gast is ninth with a 4.59, Casey Stemper tenth with an early shut-off 4.786 at 110.15 mph.
Quicktime Racing's Eric Sanzottera also shut off early ad ran 4.83. Multi-time AMA/Dragbike and MIRock Superbike Series champion (and Rockingham number 1 qualifier) Jeremy Teasley spun badly to a 1.476 60 foot time and a 5.02. The rest of the field (and with 16 bikes, they're all in) didn't or barely made it down the track: David Vantine, Carlos Wilkerson, Charlie Propit and Dave Norris.
