Orient Express Bikes In the Valley race #2 was bright and sunny on May 28th at Lebanon Valley Dragway. Michael Burkhouse qualified on the pole in Worldwide Bearings Street Bike with a .004 reaction time on his ’99 Kawasaki ZRX-1100. Mike received the MPS Racing #1 Qualifier Bonus $50 Gift Certificate. Zak Herzog rode his ’98 Yamaha V-Max in from Clifton Park, NY. and won 5 rounds of Wordlwide Bearings Street Bike competition. Zak put a holeshot on Burkhouse in the final and ran an 11.04 on his 11.03 dial. Zak rode off w/the money and the trophy.

In Fast By Gast Dragbike .400 tree action John Hastings used his new RPM Cycle GS 1150 engine to force Joe DePietro into a breakout. Joe ran a 9.39 on his 9.45 allowing John a safe 9.16 on 9.06 win. Walter Houghtaling was the Head Rush Racing #1 Qualifier with a .007 RT. Walter and Matt Carpentieri were semi-finalists.

Justin Shakir (above) was on a tear in Toce Brothers Performance Top Street Bike. Justin’s ’08 GSXR 1000 ran a 8.34 @ 160 to nab the Brock’s Performance #1 Qualifier Bonus by .003 over Sean “Skinny” Walsh. Justin was running hard and consistent with times of: 8.40, 8.34, 8.36, 8.37 and 8.39 with 60’ times of 1.29! Justin red lit in the final on the .500 Pro Tree handing the win to Kenny Brewer. Kenny was goin’ rounds in Street (Semi’s) and Top Street on his ’06 GSXR-1000. Mike Coakley was the semi-finalist on his ’01 GSXR 1000 making it all Gixxer 1000’s in Toce Performance Top Street.
