Qatar Round 1 in the Bank
Terry “Milkman” Schweigert and the DTM Performance team took the opening Pro Extreme Motorcycle round of the Arabian Drag Racing League's 2010 season at the Qatar Racing Club in Doha. The final round with Robbie Hunnicutt featured the event's only staging duel, with Hunnicutt edging in first. Robbie took the tree but Schweigert grabbed back a huge chunk by the 60 foot. Schweigert's bike was all hopped-up on a Dan "The Man" Wagner tune-up and bettered their own track record with a 4.14, taking the stripe by .02 over Hunnicutt.

QRC's winners circle was rowdy, and DTM's was no exception
Schweigert lead qualifying with a 4.19. Recent Dragbike.com person of the week Mohammed Bourashid was second with a 4.26, Hunnicutt third with a 4.268 and Matt Smith a strong fourth with a 4.30 on the Harley Bagger. Billy Vose was fifth with a 4.346, Lance Hines was two ticks behind Billy with a .348, last year's season champion Mishaal Al Sapr seventh with a 4.37 and Mohammed Al-Darwish eighth with a 4.40 on the other Bagger. The 8 bike filed was a tough one, as Americans Dave Norris and T.T. Jones didn't make the cut.
Riding the formerly cream and blue 'Busa that Sean Henson brought to Valdosta a couple of years ago, Saudi lawyer Fahad Al Hamoud took the Super Streetbike final over Mashari Al-Turki. Al Hamoud rode out a wild 11:00 wheelie in qualifying (see the video) on a day when others weren't so lucky.
And speaking of lucky, Bader Beneidan pounded his fists as the green light found his 'Busa out of gear. Frustration turned to smiles for Beneidan and laughter for the railbirds as Bader's final round opponent Khalid Aldossary (tuned by Lee Shierts) redlit.
